Slovenia Preparations

I am leaving for Slovenia on Wed Sept 10th. While I am away I hope to put some information up on my blog under Slovenia and then complete the details upon my return. A couple of items to note when traveling overseas.

1. If you have T-Mobile or At&t you can get a Sim card in Europe and put it in your phone so you can make phone calls. As far as I know you can get one for 10 Euro, not sure how many minutes you get so I will edit this info when I get back. You Must get your phone unlocked here before you can use the Sim. It takes 24 hours to complete the process and they email you instructions. So please prepare for this a few days in advance.

2. Contact your credit card companies to let them know that you traveling to Europe. This is for your protection so they do not hold your card. Keep in mind that when you use your credit card in Europe they charge you a service fee, every time you use your card. With my 3 credit cards it ranges from 1% up to 5% on my airline card!

3. You pick your own seats about 72 days before your trip, this is great if you are traveling with a friend from another place. You should get the size of the plane when you book your reservation and when you do that there is a website you can go to to find the best seat. http://www.seatguru.com/ (make sure you book your trip on my site www.kukartravel.com

Happy Travels!
